inspirations 1 - infinity frequencies
A lot of this direction of research has been inspired by many artists, before. One in particular as such is the likes of Infinity Frequencies.
Infinity Frequencies is an artist that delves into the Vaporwave/Hauntology genres with such a deep exploration into mystery and intrigue. Their works catalogue a realm of tenebrous visions and explorations into unknown worlds, and once forgotten memories of the past. Repetition and looping is a very prominent feature of their work, alongside simplistic minimalism in composition. As such, there is a great emphasis on the sequencing within each album. As each track is fairly short (between 1-3 minutes), this becomes increasingly apparent, as one breezes through an album effortlessly, if time too has become lost in this world.
Their extensive use of old technology and relics of the past as a central component of their visual and sonic aesthetic is something that I feel really complements the air of mystery and of unknown worlds. It is as if the viewer is being sucked into some parallel universe, or some kind of fabricated reality, which exists from a patchwork of conglomeration of fragments from the past, twisted into a new being which captivates and draws you in, as you can’t help but to want to explore the world further.
