PROJECT: EMERGE

[Entendre Amnesia] - What does it represent?? What am I trying to find? therefore, what exactly are the components I need?:

What it represents:

- Different states of consciousness, of existence in this world:

- Reflection, introspection, memory, dreams --> physically passive, but mentally active

- Interaction, cognizance?/responsivity to external environment ---> Physically + mentally active

- The interplay between inner and outer world - how they are deeply connected and influence each other?

- Reality vs. imagination and [unreality], how they too influence each other and the lines can blur

Possible plans of action:

[1] REFLECTION // INTROSPECTION // MEMORY - recycling inputs to the mind

1a) Screen displaying no input visuals + dirty mix with goPro footage (Plan A)

1b) Screen with no-input visuals only (Plan B / Worst case)

[2] NOSTALGIA // MEMORIES // DREAMS

2a) Radio/casette recorder playing back dream recalls mixed with ambience (Would perhaps require Ableton, takes most time)

2b) Radio/casette recorder playing back dream recalls (spoken in - requires recording)

2c) Radio/casette recorder playing back fixed recordings / ambient sound [already recorded]---> How does this fit? is it emphasizing the mood, etc.?

[3] INTERACTION // [EXISTENTIAL REALITY?]

3a) User interaction with visual instruments

3b) Hodge-podge of sensors + interactive elements hooked up to my mixer ---> How many are feasible? how will they work together?

3c) single sensor-based instrument (say on arduino?) - hooked up to pedals/fx chain or whatever that can be interacted with in the air

yeah, it works (pretty great)
